Harvey Dwight Swanson

Came into this world April 27th, 1929.

His Spirit was set free March 21st, 2021, peacefully into the arms of the Lord, and joined his Wife Shirley, Son’s Donald and Curtis, His Grandson’s Donnie and Aaron, also his loving parents Archie and Hazel and His Brother Marvin.

Those here on earth, left with endless memories are, His Daughter Sheree and Husband Jay, His Grandkids Cathy (Andy), Jevon (Kari), Devon (Emily), Brendon (Christin), Amanda (Noah), His Brother Walter (Linda), 16 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.

Known to all who loved and knew him, he was Dwight; he was raised in a strong Faith based and hard working family.

He met and married his High School Sweetheart; they shared over 72 years

together and raised their family with the same spiritual foundation.

Dwight leaves a legacy of creative talent and solid work ethics.

He opened his first furniture upholstery shop in Minnesota at the age of 18; he supported his family and never stopped creating furniture until the day he retired at age 88 and closed his shop.

Him and his wife were very active with BSA and became “Scout Family of the Year in 1959.

Dwight and his wife, opened their home to relatives and number of young people needing a place to stay, they treated them as their own and touched their lives as their lives had been touched. No one was a stranger to him.

He was always good for a joke and/or a song, if it was over a cup of coffee or food all the better!

He gave a lot of heartfelt advice and had a bunch of One-Liners to Live By; his best and most important was, STAY PRAYED UP! He lived by this example.

All that knew him, Loved him and he them!
