Mr. Pitt was raised as a mason at the Loyd D. Glenn lodge on September 2, 1961. He was also a shriner in the Cahaba Lodge in Huntsville AL. He retired from Monsanto after 35 years of service in December 1992. Along with his wife he owned and operated Pitt Concrete. His hobbies included turkey hunting, deer hunting, fishing and playing bluegrass music.
