Gweneth “Gwen” Bundy, 80, wife of Wilbur Bundy of Spirit Lake passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Accura Healthcare of Milford.
Gwen was born on December 18, 1938, in Mallard, IA to Alfred and Alberta (Fisher) Duis. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School. Gwen was united in marriage to Wilbur Bundy on August 26, 1956, in Spirit Lake. She spent her days helping Wilbur on the family farm and raising their 4 children. In her free time, Gwen enjoyed knitting, reading, word search puzzles, and watching Walt Disney movies. Many of her happiest times were when her children and grandchildren were around her. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake where she participated in Bible study. In her younger years, she was a Girl Scout Leader.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 62 years, Wilbur Bundy of Spirit Lake; daughters Robin (David) Kollasch of Spirit Lake; Dawn Bundy of Dallas, TX; Melanie Bundy of Sioux Falls, SD; son Kenneth (Roberta) Bundy of LeMars, IA; 6 grandchildren, Ryan (Dani) Kollasch, Michelle (Dave) Holmquist, Gregory (Tiffany) Kollasch, Michael (Penny) Segelke, Hannah Bundy, Holly Bundy, 10 great-grandchildren, Lance Holmquist, Jaxon Holmquist, Addison Holmquist, Henry Holmquist, Bailey Kollasch, Austin Kollasch, Katelyn Kollasch, Kameron Kollasch, Dyllon Segelke, Summer Segelke, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred Duis and Alberta Bassett and stepfather Lyle Bassett.
