Guerry Graham Gordon, age 84, of Atlanta, GA and Haymarket, VA, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018. She was born on February 20, 1934 in West Point, MS to Gertrude Knight Graham and James Dupree Graham. She later moved to Atlanta where she graduated from Washington Seminary (The Westminster Schools) in 1952. She graduated from Agnes Scott College in 1956, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and continued as lifelong president of her class. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Donald McCalmon Fain, of Atlanta, her husband Charles Stinson Myers, of Atlanta, her husband Harold Reginald Gordon, of Haymarket, VA, her sister Marion Graham James, of Darlington, SC, and her son, Donald McCalmon Fain, Jr., of Atlanta. She is survived by her faithful and trusted friend, Ronald “Sonny” McCaslin, of Manassas, VA, her daughters Remmie Fain Miller, of Marietta, GA, and Guerry Fain Drey, of Haymarket, VA, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Guerry loved her family, friends, and her church. She taught kindergarten in the Atlanta Public Schools for nineteen years, and volunteered for many organizations while living in Atlanta, including the Rabun Gap/Nacoochee and Tallulah Falls schools, the 1996 Olympics, and the Shepherd Spinal Center. She was a member of Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church in Atlanta, where she loved her Sunday school class and Bible study group. Guerry moved to Haymarket, VA in 2005, where she was a member of Haymarket Baptist Church. She enjoyed her Sunday school class, served in the Home Touch ministry, and taught Vacation Bible school each year. She also enjoyed being an active member of her bridge club and Regency Woman’s Club.
