Born in Tolosa, Leyte (Philippines) to the late Dionisio Lanza Advincula and Feliciana Cinco Bacalando, Aday was granted her angel wings on February 16, 2017 in Alameda, California at the age of 91. Her final days were spent surrounded by family at home.

Aday, beloved wife of Felimon Oronos, Sr; mother of Evelyn Oronos, Rebecca Oronos, Letecia and Steven Fujimori, Felimon Oronos, Jr., David and Linda Oronos, Fernando and Diana Oronos, EmyLee and Rolland Makinano and Arleen and Albert Luna; fifteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Aday, resident of Alameda for 59 years was active in her community promoting Filipino culture by teaching dance, singing folk songs, and instrumental in organizing annual Tolosa Town Fiestas.

Her favorite pastimes were spent with friends, hosting parties, Bingo, crocheting, and puzzles. You’d never leave her house hungry; lumpia, pancit, puto, cuchinta, leche flan and fried chicken were among her specialties, with ice cream always in the fridge. The loves of her life were her family, faith and dancing.  “Lolo and I are happy because we love to dance!” was something you often heard if you were family, friend or even a stranger on the street. She could be found dancing at street fairs, local concerts, and in her spot at the July 4th parade.

A mother to all, known for her infectious smile and unconditional love.
