On Friday, June 12, 1936 Grazell “Grace” Miner began her earthly journey. She is one of the nine children of Cornelius and Gradie Miner.

Grace grew up in Junction City, Louisiana. She graduated in 1953 from Rosenwald High School of Junction City, Arkansas. This facility was one of the 5300 school buildings that were constructed in African American communities throughout 15 southern states.
