Grey Junior Chenoweth, 76, of Route 1, Fairmont passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born May 8, 1935 in (Watson) Fairmont, WV the son of the late Tulley Grey Chenoweth and Alice Elizabeth Soles Chenoweth. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Helen E. White Chenoweth whom he married December 6, 1956. In addition to his wife he is survived by five daughters; Carolyn Sue Littleton and husband Robert of Maryland, Edna Alice Pyles and husband Earl of Morgantown, Phyllis Rae Shorter and husband William of Morgantown, Betty Marie Sanders and husband Roger of Fairmont, Helen Eleanor Phillips husband Ronald of Ohio; four sons; Tulley Grey Chenoweth, Robert Orval Chenoweth, William Edgar Chenoweth and DeWayne Porter Chenoweth and wife Misty Dawn all of Fairmont; eighteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two brothers; William Carl Chenoweth of Fairmont and George Stephen Chenoweth and wife Phyllis Jean of Fairmont. He was preceded in death by one son; Larry Lee Chenoweth; one daughter; Nancy Chenoweth, one sister; Betty Jean Stahl and two granddaughters; one great granddaughter. Mr. Chenoweth was a coal miner, having worked for Paul Harrold, Inc. as a highlift operator and various other coal mines in the area. He loved to coon hunt, deer hunt, loved to farm, loved horses, and enjoyed spending time in his garden and loved to listen to Wings of Faith telecast.
