Gretchen Zimmerman Cook, 76, of Nampa, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb 5th, 2022. With loved ones by her side, she left us peacefully at St Luke’s Nampa Medical Center.

Gretchen came to know the Lord in 1992. She has followed our Lord for many years since, and we are confident that she now sits at the feet of Jesus.

Gretchen was the second child born to Clifford Zimmerman (1909 – 1996) and Theo Haynes (1919 – 1980). She is survived by four siblings; Sharon Browder of Seattle, WA, Ron Greene of Palmer, AK., and Rick Zimmerman of San Diego, CA. She is proceeded in death by her beloved sister Heidi Gallion, who passed away this past November, and brother Don Zimmerman. Anyone who knew Gretchen, knows that she was sweet and playful, with a zest for God and life. She had a rich and full life and a loving relationship with her husband, Brad Cook. Brad and Gretchen were married on August 6th, 2005. The two of them shared many wonderful years together in Nampa. They share seven children Mark, Stacy, Chris, Tim, Doug, Shad and Chamisa. Gretchen and Brad also share 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  She felt so incredibly blessed and shared her blessings with everyone she met. Her love for life and family and God was impenetrable.  She was always caring for someone else and never had a bad word to say about anyone or anything.  She had a silly side and was always teasing, telling jokes, and giggling; she was young at heart.  She always found the happiness in life even in the difficult times. To say that Gretchen will be missed is an understatement. Her passing has left a large hole in so many hearts.  She was a wonderful Christian example to everyone around her. John 11: 25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
