Gregory Carl Galloway
May 6, 1976 – July 25, 2016
Gregory Carl Galloway, 40, loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016. He was born May 6, 1976 at Hill AFB, the first son of Carl Galloway and Karen Hall. He came to a family of five sisters. They adored their baby brother. Jeff, another son, arrived eighteen months later.
Greg was a beautiful, strong child who loved life. He played all sports his whole life. He played football at his high school, Roy High, and he also played arena football in Salt Lake City. He excelled at soccer, even as an adult.
Everyone loved his infectious laugh. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He earned his Eagle Scout Award and worked at HAFB as an electronic integrated technician.
Six years ago Greg fell and had a traumatic brain injury. His whole life changed forever. He then lived with his Mom and Dad.
He was married briefly to Alyson Boyce, after which he married Jaime Reeder. They had a daughter Saydra. He later married Monica Cloy. He adopted her daughter Taylor, and they had two sons, Dagen and River.
These four children Saydra, Taylor, Dagen and River, were his whole life. He loved them beyond description.
He is survived by his parents, children, one grandson, Legend Keleko Bird, (Keleko is Greg in Hawaiian), sisters, Kim (Hal) Roe of Farr West, Melanie Anderson of Roy, Brenda (Jay) Stephensen of Roy, Cathy (Torsten) Wegner of Layton, brother, Jeff Galloway of Layton, brother-in-law, Howard Blan, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Melinda Blan.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all who have been his friend and stuck by him these last six years.
