Gregorio Bustos Jr., 77, of Jacksonville, IL, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at Passavant Area Hospital.
He was born Sept. 17, 1943, in Ojocaliente, Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Gregorio Bustos Sr. and Patrocinio Rangel. He first married Carmen Bustos and she preceded him in death. He later married Janette Lara and she survives.
He is also survived by four daughters and two sons, Sandra Bustos, Olga Bustos, Hector Bustos, David Bustos, Diana L. Bustos, Vianey L. Bustos, and Araceli L. Bustos; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Maria Bustos, Matiana Bustos, and Magdalena Bustos. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Carmen; one brother, Jose Bustos; and three sisters, Dominga Bustos, Josefina Bustos, and Consepcion Bustos.
Mr. Bustos retired after 35 of employment at Brach’s Candy Company in Chicago. He was a very active member of the Church of Our Saviour and enjoyed teaching others to follow the way of God. He enjoyed bowling and baseball. Gregorio was a wonderful person, a good friend, and loved by all. He was an especially great husband and dad.
