Grace R. Totaro, age 84, of Rome, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at home, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Rome on April 9, 1928, Grace was the daughter of the late Saverio and Catherine Page Bilotta. She was raised in Rome and on April 29, 1948, she married Arthur Totaro. Their marriage was truly a loving union and partnership. They would have celebrated 65 years of love and devotion this April 29.
Grace worked at Bellamy School for 25 years, retiring in 1995. She was a warm mother, grandmother and friend. She took pride in her home and cooking. Her family has many fond memories of her meals, especially during the holidays. Her grandchildren were her world and her precious great granddaughters touched her heart. Grace was proud of her Italian heritage and she made the best homemade gnocchi and ravioli.
Grace is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Arthur; her loving daughters, Jo-Marie and Cathi-Anne; grandchildren, Kristi, Steven and Allison; great granddaughters, Adrianna, Gianna, Giulianna, and Emily; a sister, Rosetta; a brother in law, Mario; and sisters in law, Norma and Joan. She was predeceased by her parents, her mother and father in law, and a great granddaughter, Giavanna Grace.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Nurses Cheryl and Renee and Volunteer Cathy from Hospice and a very special thank you to “our Debbie.”
