Grace L. Check, 77, of East Allen Township, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. She was the loving wife of Ronald Check, with whom she shared over 57 years of marriage. Born in Fountain Hill, Grace was the daughter of the late Gerald and Pearl (Reesemiller) Scheirer. She graduated from Moravian College in 1959, and later began working for East Allen Township in 1972. She served as the township Secretary Treasurer and as an elected Supervisor, retiring in 1993 to work with the family business, Grace Industries, for whom the company was named. She enjoyed shopping, going snowmobiling in Old Forge, NY, and family vacations at Rehoboth Beach. Grace was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem. Survivors: husband Ronald; daughter Cathy Silfies and her husband Ted of Bethlehem; sons Todd Check and his wife Connie of Slatington, Ronald Check and his wife Lisa of Northampton; sister Ruth Strawn of Florida; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
