(Grace) Diane Adams passed away in her sleep on February 25, 2021 at the age of 87. Diane was born on March 1, 1933 in Jamaica, Long Island, NY to George  Aristides Prappas and Lillian Grace (Weaver) Prappas.  In 1944, the family moved to LaGrange, IL where Diane graduated from Lyons Township High School. After graduation, Diane attended the University of Illinois as a Theta Upsilon earning a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics in 1955.

Diane soon thereafter met Bill Lavert Adams and they were married on August 10th, 1957. They had two children and moved to the Denver area (what is now Centennial) in 1965.  Bill died during the summer of 1972 leaving Diane to raise their children. At that time, Diane started a career in taxes and banking and worked for Columbia Savings and Wells Fargo Bank.

Having parents that were professional artists, Diane inherited their talents. She was a master gardener, craft maker, wheat weaver, painter, seamstress, and expert quilter. Additionally, like her mother, Diane spent countless hours compiling her family genealogical records. Diane took many trips to Bucks County, PA and had attempted to go to Greece for additional research.

Diane is survived by her two children, John and Mark (Lori), five grandchildren, Billy, Raina, Emily (Christian), Matthew (Joy), and Brianna, and one great-grandson, Pierce.

Diane loved animals all her life, having both dogs and cats. She always said, “Dogs are good people.”  She will be deeply missed.
