Grace Brewer, 94, of Bethlehem and formerly of Colorado, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 16, 2018 surrounded by her family, while in the care of the Moravian Kings Daughters Home, Bethlehem. She was the loving wife of the late Lester Hess and the late J.R. Brewer.
Born in Rocky Ford, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Martha (Jorgonson) Johnson. Grace worked as a Pharmacist in various drug store and hospital pharmacies until her retirement in 1985. She broke the glass ceiling for women as Pharmacists. Grace loved sewing, knitting and painting. She was very active within her Presbyterian church in Colorado and Arkansas where she was a Sunday school teacher. Grace loved to give back and spent a lot of her time volunteering for various organizations such as the Downtown Church Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Linda Marsh and her husband Gary of Bethlehem; son Larry Hess and his wife Margie of Colorado Springs; grandchildren Brenda Hess of Colorado, Brian Hess and his wife Lorraine of Colorado, Kevin Marsh and his wife Colleen of Bethlehem and Sarah Ulshafer and her husband Rob of Bethlehem; and her loving great-grandchildren, Mckenzie Hess, Terrilynn Marsh and Leila Ulshafer.
