BODNAR, Grace died January 25, 2014, at age 86. Grace was born February 12, 1927, in Kalamazoo to the late John and Trina Vosser. Grace was united in marriage to George Bodnar on July 8, 1949.
George preceded her in death in 1988, along with her 3 brothers. She was a lifelong resident of portage where her father was one of the original celery farmers in that area. She lived in her family home for 84 years where she raised her children and cared for her family members. She always gave unselfishly to help out any family member when needed.
She loved her family above all else and was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Grace is survived by her children, George Gloria Bodnar of Portage and Barbara Warren Myer of Climax; grandchildren, Rhonda Pressley, Steven Bodnar, Walter “Trae” Shimel, William Bodnar, Carrie Ted Green, and Scott Lisa Shimel; and several great and great-great-grandchildren.
