Gordon J. “Gordy” Tyler of Allegan, Michigan and Sebring, Florida died on July 7, 2021 at the age of 78. Gordon was born to Gordon L. and Geraldine (Arndt) Tyler on September 23, 1942.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years Betty (Boysen); children Anita (Bryan) Breisch; Gordon “Tony” (Johniece) Tyler; Michelle Coffey; step-children Barbara (Bill) Null and Sheri (Mike) Peyerk.  Also surviving are his grandchildren Nathan Cluster; Jeremy (Becca) Cluster; Aaron (Jon) Au: Travis (Haica) Breisch; Brittany (William) Brockie; Brandon Tyler; Megan (Brandon) Blodgett; Logan Coffey; Stephanie (Isiah) Hadley; Elayna (Mike) Mitchell; Tom (Kalani) Burghard; Corey (Alycia Webb) McGill; Matthew Peyerk; eleven Great-Grandchildren; brother Clifford (Sue) Tyler; and many Nieces and Nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents, sister Nancy Enos..

After graduation from Allegan High School, Gordy was drafted into the Navy and served with the Seabees during the Vietnam War. He went on to become a Carpenter, often building beautiful pieces for family such as wine racks and entryway mirrors, using wood from the old torn down Allegan High School.

Gordy enjoyed golfing and fishing and was known for his famous “fish fry’s” in both Michigan and Florida. His children have fond memories of camping together in Shelbyville and recall a weekend where it “rained so hard their air mattresses were floating in their tents”.
