He served in the U.S. Army. Graduate of Loyola College of Maryland. He worked for the Department of the Army as a civilian employee and retired on December 1, 1989. Following his civil service retirement, he worked for H&R Block as a tax consultant and in real estate for O’Connor Piper Flynn and Caldwell Banker.
