Gordon L. “Buster” Holsclaw Sr., 89, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Creasy Springs Health Campus.
He was born January 11, 1932, in Lafayette, to the late James L. and Bertha E. (Justice) Holsclaw.
Gordon proudly served in the Army Air Corp.
On September 6, 1957, he married Nancy Caster in West Lafayette. She preceded him in death on September 9, 2004.
Gordon worked as a Hod Carrier for Local Labor Union #274 for 35 years before retiring in 1994.
Gordon enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, playing cards, games and puzzles.
Surviving are two sons, Gordon (Tamara) Holsclaw, Jr. and Ricky (Debbie) Holsclaw both of Lafayette, two brothers, Joseph (Colleen) Holsclaw of Lafayette, and Bill (Melanie) Holsclaw of Frankfort and a sister, Lynn (Jean) Sheets of Lafayette. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tonya Davenport, Jacob, Lisa and Dylan Holsclaw along with four great grandchildren.
Gordon was preceded in death by a son, James G. Holsclaw, two sisters, Annette Holsclaw and Marquita Armes and three brothers, Richard, Harold “Sonny” and Jim Holsclaw.
