Goldie A. Menges, 59, of Elkhart, passed away in her home at 5:40 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, after an extended illness.
She was born in LaGrange on May 4, 1954, to the late Henry “Bill” and Edith (Christner) Lyon.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (Forrest II) Ludwick of Elkhart; sons Willliam “Will” Menges of Goshen and David Menges of Elkhart; her former spouse and father of the children, David T. (Rita) Menges of Goshen; and six grandchildren.
Goldie was a technical assistant for the Elkhart Community School System and was active with the in-school scouting program. She was a lifetime member of Girl Scouts of America and was a Cub Scout den leader.
