Glynn Ellen Landmesser was born on September 18, 1952 In New Orleans, LA to Geoffry and Doris (Gehrt) Landmesser. In 1962 the family moved back to Gilmore City, IA. Glynn attended and graduated from Gilmore City – Bradgate Community High School, Class of 1970. After graduation, Glynn traveled before joining the Air Force in 1982 as an Aerospace Propulsion Technician.  She was Honorably Discharged in 1990. Glynn then moved to Skagway, Alaska and remained there until 2017 when she moved back to Iowa. Glynn was a member of the Skagway Elks and the Skagway Fraternal Order of Eagles. Glynn loved her animals, her dogs: Charlie Brown and Lucy and her cats: Ralph and Bruno. She enjoyed reading, playing dice and cards, telling great stories of all her friends and the years she lived in Alaska. Glynn was proceeded in death by her father, Geoffry Landmesser. She is survived by her mother, Doris (Gehrt) Landmesser, Gilmore City, and sisters: Lana Lewis, Humboldt, Mitzi (Charlie) Ford, Ottosen, Gennifer (Mike) Scott, Emmetsburg and Pam (Bill) Anderson, Dakota City. Glynn also had two step-children, JR (Debbie) Keppler and Deniese Keppler of Des Moines; 8 nephews and 1 niece and a large family of friends in Alaska.
