Gloria Maxine Andrus
Gloria Maxine Andrus, 72, returned home to her heavenly father on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at the Avalon Care Center in Bountiful, Utah. She died peacefully.
Gloria was born on August 12, 1943, daughter of the late Margarete Bessan and Milo John Andrus. As one of thirteen children, Gloria took a special interest in her youngest and only sister, Joyce Marie Andrus Henderson. They would play together often, with Gloria telling her sister stories as they lay on the roof of one of their parents’ brooder houses. And on weekends, Gloria would accompany her mother and father to the Terrace Ballroom in Salt Lake City. She loved to dance. Gloria had many struggles in life but she was always quick to smile and had a sweet personality. She was a very kind and gentle soul and had many friends over the years. She married one of them, the late Richard Dale Gosnell and they had several happy years together before his death in 2007.
Gloria will be missed by her loving son, Don Andrus, of Utah, who has been her pride and joy. She was predeceased in death by her mother and father; siblings Clarence John Andrus of California and Barbara Jean Andrus of Utah. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her sister, Joyce Marie Andrus Henderson, of Utah; Jerry Lloyd Andrus of Utah; and Larry Milo Andrus of New York.
