Obituary of Gloria Martinez
Martinez, Gloria

Peacefully drifted into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ surrounded by her family at Covenant Healthcare – Cooper Campus on Thursday evening, January 21, 2021. At the time of her passing, she had just turned 80 years old. Gloria Martinez was born January 20, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Jose and Pascuala “Paula” (Ignohosa) Martinez. Gloria loved Jesus first and her family second. She was very involved with her church for many years. Gloria loved spending time with her family near and far.
She will be missed more than words can say. Gloria left us a great legacy and a reminder that no matter what happens in life, put Jesus first and everything else will fall into place. She reminded us to put others before self and always pray and take care of our family. Gloria is now singing and rejoicing with other previously passed loved ones in heaven.
Surviving are her beloved children, Armando (Daniel) Martinez, Rebecca (Matthew) Thomas, Eva (Paul) Bissonnette, and Rosa (Phil) McKeel; her beloved grandchildren, Miguel (Jeana) Juarez, Frankie (Jaclyn) Juarez, Felipe (Joshua) Juarez, Ruben (Erin) Juarez, Jose (Amber) Juarez, Amy Thomas, Matthew (Oni) Thomas, Gabriel Thomas, Brad (Samantha) Pluto, Karissa McKeel, and Savanah McKeel ; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Tony Martinez, Lupe Salas, and Mary Delgado; special niece, Lucy (Robert) Munguia, and many nieces and nephews.
