Gloria “Jean” Cain, 73, passed away Sunday morning, June 22, 2014, in IU Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, with family by her side. She was born in Kokomo, the daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Dillon) Poorman.
She graduated from Jefferson Township High School with the class of 1958. On January 1, 1960, she married Mervin Cain, in Marion. He survives.
Mrs. Cain was formerly employed with Pierce Company, Upland, as a production worker and later worked as a clerk at Circle K, Upland, for several years.
In addition to her husband of 54 years, Mervin, survivors include her children Sonya (James) Lake, Hartford City, Deborah Chapman, Marion, Jim (Mickey) Cain, Upland, Amber (Buddy) Corey, Marion, and Tracy Cain, Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Laura Eckstein, Dwight Lake, and Daniel Lake; and her mother-in-law, Vera Cain, Upland. She will also be sadly missed by her beloved dogs, Taffy, Lilly, Zoey, and Bella.
