Gloria Ann (Blevins) Engelberth, 77 of Port Deposit, MD, was carried away by a holy entourage of angels on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at 7:45 pm.
Born in Waynesboro, VA, she was the daughter of her late father, Lacy Blevins Sr., and her late mother, Elizabeth (Smith) Blevins. Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, William Frederick Engelberth III; her brother; (Junior) Lacy Blevins Jr., and her granddaughters Lacy and Rachel.
Gloria was an amazing woman who exemplified living for Christ. Her life was marked by selfless acts of kindness and giving. She was a faithful wife to her husband of 38 years, caring for him while he was in an incapacitated state the last 15 years of his life. She was a loving mother who prayed, cared for and corrected her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful friend who continually sent cards and words of encouragement to others. She was truly an amazing woman, which stemmed from her knowing the one true God, the Saviour and King, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her children Patricia Engelberth of Baltimore, MD; Michael and Jennifer Engelberth of North East, MD; Richard Engelberth of Elkton, MD; Christopher and Liz Engelberth of North East, MD; her grandchildren: Briana, Richard Jr., Amanda, Michael Larry Jr., Laney and Zoe; brother: Jerry (Carol) Blevins; sister: Wanda and Ruby Krauss; sister: Lois (Earl) Puckett and sister: Brenda Dersh.
