Gloria Elizabeth McDonald Vinson
Gloria Elizabeth McDonald Vinson, age 77, of White Plains, GA passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at her residence with her loved ones. Born in Greensboro, GA, on April 4, 1940, she was the daughter of Olly Mae Chasteen McDonald and the late Clarence McDonald. Gloria graduated from Greensboro High School. On October 31, 1959, she married James Reuben “Jim” Vinson, Sr. For a while she worked for DeKalb Medical Center, Inc. in accounting. She served her community by volunteering for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Vinson of White Plains, GA; mother, Olly McDonald of Rome, GA; a son, Mike Vinson of White Plains, GA; brother Pete McDonald of Rome, GA; and many close friends. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, James R. Vinson, Jr.
