Gloria D. Ceresoli, of Rome and Vero Beach, FL, passed away September 16, 2012 in Florida, after a long illness.
She was born in Rome, a daughter of the late Francesco and Elia DiCosmo Bravo and graduated from Rome Free Academy. Gloria was united in marriage to John A. Ceresoli, Sr. on May 19, 1955, in the Church of St. John the Baptist; he died January 22, 2005. She proudly served as a Teacher Assistant in the Reading Rooms for the Rome City School District and later worked for the Oneida County Office of the Aging, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the South Rome Seniors, Business Professional Women’s Club and Past President of Rome Republican Women’s Club. She also was a devoted member of the Church of St. John the Baptist and the Marian Guild of St. John’s Church.
Gloria loved all of her family, but had a special love and appreciation for her grandchildren. She took great pride and joy in watching them grow and always praised their many accomplishments in life. She also was very spiritual and devoted to her faith.
Gloria is survived by two daughters and a son in law, Debbie and Gery Guy of Sebastian, FL, and Gloria Lynne Ceresoli of Rome; two sons and daughters in law, John A. Jr, and LeAnn Ceresoli of Chittenango and Anthony F. and Kathy Ceresoli of Dunedin, Fl; grandchildren, Tiffany (Chad) Anderson, Dr. Gery, Jr (Kara) Guy, Aaron Guy, John K., Stephen and Jason Ceresoli and Anthony F. Jr and Dylan Ceresoli; several nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by seven sisters and brothers, Felicia Combopino, Stella Peteronella, Pauline Smith, Mary Wilson, Ben Bravo, Carmine Bravo and Angel Bravo.
