Gloria C. Luft
October 20, 1928 – January 24, 2014
On Friday, January 24, 2014, Gloria passed away peacefully surrounded by family. She is predeceased by the love of her life, her husband and best friend Master Sargent Raymond B. Luft. The two were childhood friends and shared 62 years of marriage. She is also predeceased by her mother Dora E. Heald and her sister Pauline Nawrocki.
Gloria is survived by her two sons, Raymond W. Luft and Michael J. Luft, both residents of Leominster, her granddaughter Amanda E. Luft of Fitchburg, and a great-granddaughter Charlotte, who always brought a smile to her face and a sparkle to her eye. Gloria also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and a very dear friend Angela Paulekas.
She was a proud Military Wife who traveled and resided in Germany, Georgia, New York and finally settled in Leominster, MA. She worked for 25 years as a Bookkeeper at Lanco Plastics, and then New England Organic Produce, until her retirement.
Gloria enjoyed spending summers at Plum Island with her husband, catching more “Blues” than all the guys, when surf fishing. She also enjoyed gardening around her house, playing cards and Bingo, but most of all spending time with her family.
