Gloria Ann McCormack, 71 of Beachwood, NJ passed away on Friday August 2, 2019 peacefully at home after a difficult battle with cancer. Gloria was born in Newark, NJ and grew up in Menlo Park before moving to Beachwood over 40 years ago. Gloria was an Official Court Reporter for the state of NJ at Ocean County Superior Court in Toms River, NJ for over 40 years.
She also served as supervisor. Gloria was a deeply compassionate person who was an active member of her community. Post retirement, she served on the Toms River School Board for two years. She was a founding member of the Wranglebrook Community Garden, and an active member of N.O.W. She cared deeply about social justice issues, fairness and the treatment of others. She had an extraordinary talent for making things beautiful, and she loved creating art and playing the piano.
Gloria is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years James “Seamus” McCormack, her beloved daughter Kerry-Lynn McCormack, several loving brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, treasured friends, and their loyal dog Scamp.
