Glenn S. Ward, age 88, of East Palestine, died at 2:10 pm, Wednesday September 24, 2014, with his daughters at his side. He was born October 26, 1925, in Unity Township, son of the late Roy and Ethel (Scott) Ward. Horses were his life passion; he was a horse owner and trainer. Glenn was a US Navy veteran and serving in WW II. His wife Dorothy E (Hartman) Ward preceded in death on August 11, 2010, they were married February 3, 1946. He was also preceded in death by his son, James S. Ward in 2014; a sister, Helen Beight; brothers, Donald, Floyd and Herbert Ward; and an infant brother, Richard Ward. Survivors include daughters, Glenda E. Ward of Columbiana, and Pamela K (Kyle) Smith of Lisbon; a daughter in law, Terry Ward of East Palestine; brothers, Lee (Roy) Ward of Delaware, OH and Wesley Ward of Yakima, WA; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
