Glenn Kennon Phillips, 79 of Gulf Breeze, Florida passed away December 4, 2014. Born in Painesville, Ohio on May 9, 1935 the son of Glenn and Winona Phillips. The family then moved to McDonald, Ohio where he attended school. He was a member of the National Honor Society, the Citizens Builders Club, the McDonald marching band and orchestra, the Trumbull County Band, Girard V.F.W, National Champion Band, captain of the McDonald Blue Devils football and basketball teams and manager of the track team. Ken attended Ohio State University where he was a member of the marching band. After attending Ohio State for a year he went to West Point where he played football and was captain of the Army wrestling squad. When he graduated from West Point with a Bachelor in Science in 1958, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Air Force.
