Glenn A. Hyer, 83, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2007, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
Glenn was born on October 7, 1923, in Skyler, NY, to the late Earl and May (Klock) Hyer. On August 23, 1946, he married Alta Miller, who survives.
Along with his wife of 60 years, he is survived by two sons, Stephen (Phyllis) Hyer of New Carlisle and Gerald (Esther) Hyer of Ilion, NY; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hyer worked as a maintenance supervisor for Sperry Rand in New York. He then moved to this area in 1970 and worked as the plant manager for Carris Reels in New Carlisle, until he retired in the late 1980’s.
