Glen Rodgers, 95, died Sunday evening, September 6, 2015, in the VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System, Marion. He was born in Jefferson Township, the son of the late Harvey and Ruby (Glancy) Rodgers. In 1938, he graduated from Jefferson Township High School. He married Ruthanna Boles on October 16, 1940. They were married for 68 years before she preceded him in death on July 25, 2009.
Mr. Rodgers, who was a lifelong resident of Jefferson Township, where he was a farmer, also served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy (Byron) Hall, Alexandria; two grandsons, Shane (Julie) Hall and Kevin (Melanie) Hall, both of Hartford City; a step-sister, Helen (Bob) Richards, Gaston; three great grandchildren, Stratahn (Stephanie) Hall, Steven (Amanda) Hall and Marissa Hall; and two great great grandchildren, Madeline and Brewer Hall.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son Jack Rodgers, a brother, Gail Rodgers, and a sister, Lucille Martin.
