Glen L. Powers Jr., 91, of Anderson, passed away on December 23, 2021, at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson.
He was born on March 16, 1930, in Batesville, Indiana. Glen proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors, having worked in production. He always had a sparkle in his eye and a ready joke or story to share. He was generous with “I love you’s” and hugs.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We’ll be seeing you Dad, on the other side. Glen is survived by his daughters, Michele Powers, and Joni Haley (Charles R. Webb); son, Alan (Beth) Powers; grandchildren, Scott (Amanda) Keegan, Racheal Powers, Cherie Powers, Nikki Lee, and Christopher Powers; several great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Verda Hukill; wife, Betty J. (Smear) Powers; daughter, Kathy Christel; granddaughter, April Garrett; and 2 sisters.
