Glen E. Shields, 95, of Anderson, passed away on January 9, 2014 at the Community Hospital, Anderson. He was born on June 19, 1918 in Terre Haute, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Glen served his country in the Navy during WWII. He retired as a Quality Control Road Agent for Delco Remy for over 40 years. Early in his life he enjoyed flying his plane, traveling and sailing. Later in life, he also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. He was a member of VFW Post #266.
Glen is survived by his loving spouse, Barbara McKee Shields of Anderson, IN, children, Debra Charles Wheatley, Doug Cynthia Shields, grandchildren, Tim, Erin, Hannah, Rachel, Abby, Lydia Shields and Matthew A. Wheatley, great-grandchildren, Gracie Shields, Miles Wheatley, Ainsley and Arden Shields, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Bartram Shields, Marion Shields, mother, Carrie Brattain Shields and father, Ralph Cowan Shields.
