Gladys Price Smith, 88 of 308 Briarwood Drive, Danville, VA went home to be with her Lord on Friday, August 24, 2012. She was born October 2, 1923 in Danville, VA, the daughter of the late George W. Price Sr. and Lena Johnson Price. She graduated from George Washington High School in 1942. On November 6, 1945 she was married to Rev. Curtis N. Smith. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Pruitt and husband, Claude Dale Pruitt, her grandson, Shannon Pruitt and wife, Kim, one great-grandson, Dylan Pruitt along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Hettie Tompkins, Dora Gravett and Minnie Hyler and four brothers, Charlie, Leonard, George, Jr. and Ralph. She attended the Tabernacle as long as her health allowed.
