Gladys Marie Rienks, 86, of Edwardsburg, died peacefully Monday evening, December 1, 2014 in her residence in the presence of those whom she loved and who loved her. Gladys was born on April 30, 1928 in Eastman, Wisconsin to August and Anna (Zlabek) Moeller.
She married Alexander Anthony Rienks on April 24, 1948 in Eastman, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters, Marie Hill, Helen Foley, Betty Ann Moeller; three brothers, Harry Moeller, Willard Moeller and Raymond Moeller.Gladys will be remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
She liked watching the birds in her backyard.Family and friends will greatly miss Gladys. She is survived by two sons, Steve (Lydia) Rienks of Hinsdale, Illinois, Bruce (Mary) Rienks of Edwardsburg; three daughters, Christine Bender of South Bend, Sue (Bill) Stevens of Elkhart, Jean (Jim) Morrison of Mishawaka; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
