Those left to honor Gladys’s memory are her two sons, Mike (Sue) Beukema of Newton and Paul (Elizabeth) Beukema of Hammond, Wisconsin; her daughter, Janie (Rick) Haunsperger of Newton; five grandchildren, Jeremy Beukema and fiancAC.e, Jill Helscher; Jennifer and Julie Beukema; and Haley and Garrett Beukema; her two sisters, Helen Bates of Newton and Gertrude Van Sickel of Newton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerrit and Jennie (Janssen) Loff; husband, Wayne in 1998; and brother, Cornie Loff.
Gladys was a graduate of Newton High School in 1947.
Gladys has lived in rural Newton since 1940.
