Gladys Evelyn Barton, 82 of Sandoval, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015.She was born July 13, 1932 in Centralia, daughter of Hugo Zoeller and Gladys (Booth) Buhl.
She married John A. Barton on October 28, 1950 and he preceded her in death on November 6, 1986. She is survived by a son, Robert “Bob” Barton of Sandoval; nine grandchildren: Belinda Telford, Brad Barton, Brenda Kertz, Katie Barton, Bobby Barton, Johnnie Barton, Cheyenne Barton, Lila Barton and Jolena Barton; five great-grandchildren: Christian Huebner, Ashley Huebner, Jonathan Huebner, Michael Huebner and Alaina Kertz; a brother, Eddie Zoeller. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.Evelyn was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval and a member of the Alter Sodality.
She enjoyed working with her husband and cooking meals for hired help on the family farm for many years. She succeeded her husband, John Barton as Supervisor of Sandoval Township for several years. She volunteered with the Heart Fund. She was the librarian at Plaza Verde. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
