Gladys E. Miller, 89, of South Bend, passed away on Tuesday June 3, 2014, in her daughter’s home in South Bend. She was born in Suffolk County, England, to the late Ernest and Ann (Dysord) Fuller. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Miller; a sister, Ella Ridgeon and by five brothers, Bernard, Albert, Ernie, Arthur and Bert Fuller. Gladys is survived by her daughters, Jean (David) Manuszak of Keller, TX, Linda (Pete) Ciula and Mary (Bob) Swick, both of South Bend and Janice (John) Kostry of Mishawaka; her sons, John R. Miller of OK, Patrick (Polly) Miller of North Liberty, IN and Joseph (Jennifer) Miller of Orange County, CA; 26 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and by two sisters, Alice “Flossie” Fuller and Enna Ellis, both of England. Mrs. Miller was an entrepreneur in her own drapery making business as well as a devoted homemaker. She met and married her husband on June 13, 1943, while he was serving in the as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, loved to sew, do needle work and fish. She is loved. We will miss her and treasure her for the rest of our lives. 3545 N. 3545 N.
