Gladys C. (Scott) Outen, 77, gained the rank of Angel on February 24, 2015 as she entered Heaven, after an extended illness.
She was born on June 3, 1937 in Greenfield. She traveled extensively throughout her life. Returning to Anderson in 2008. She was best known by the name of Scotty. Gladys was the type of woman who never met a stranger. Her outgoing and loving spirit drew many people to her. She would give anyone anything she had, if she knew they were in need.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Outen; mother, Elsie L. Cuzzart; stepfather, Wessie A Cuzzart; stepmother, Georgia Cuzzart; sister, Carolyn S. Perry, and nephew, Raymond W. Walker.
Gladys is survived by 3 sisters, Joyce K. (Fred) Reeves of Knightstown, Sheila M. (Kenneth) Harvey of Tenn., and Darla D. (Darren) Lockhart of Anderson; brother, Raymond L. (Rosie) Cuzzart, Sr. of California. Several nieces and nephews including CaTrena (Jon) Sumner of Tenn, John W. (Rhonda) Walker of Owasco, Robert (Jenny) Phipps, Jr., Davy Phipps, Kelly (Gabe) Jackson, and Thomas Perry all of Anderson; and special friends, Joseph Perry and Ray (Dickie) Walker.
