Giovanni Faggioli was born on November 1st 1929 in Cagliari, Italy. He was the first born son of Innocente and Caterina Faggioli. He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula Faggioli and a loving father to Centino, Rinaldo, Marina and John Faggioli. Also survived are his nieces and nephews both here in the United States and in Italy, his loving Godson, Frank DePietro, and his best friend, Jose Marrero.

Giovanni was a man of many talents, he loved his work as a watchmaker, which he did for over 60 years. He was also known for his woodworking, which he taught himself, and decorated his home with many of his magnificent pieces. He embraced reading and was a student of history and politics. He very much enjoyed intellectual conversations with people and would share his knowledge and embrace the knowledge of others. One thing above all, Giovanni loved to live. He was an early riser, always anxious to start each day. He was a man of strong principles and integrity; he lived by these virtues every day until his last.

Another love had was the love for his first home, the island of Sardegna. After moving to America in 1969, he would take many trips back to the island, always keeping strong ties with his friends and family.

Giovanni will be dearly missed by many people, but he never will be far from our thoughts. To all of us, he was known as “John”.
