Porfiria “Gina” Regina Sawyer (Armijo), passed away peacefully following a brief illness, on Monday July 5, 2021 at the age of 78.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Emilia Armijo, brother Danny Armijo, and sister Pauline Armijo-Fowler.

Gina is survived by her five daughters: Daleen Gossett, Margaret Lee, Dana Armijo-Williams, Renee Brooks, Lesley Sawyer; three sisters: Lucy Prince, Frances Gregory, Tillie Carrejo; grandchildren: Daniel Gossett and wife Sabrina, Roicelynn Armstrong, Justin Gossett, Schantel Blanchard and husband James, Jordan Williams and wife Samantha, Tyanna Williams-Blake and husband Hunter, Tiffanie Baker and husband Jeffrey, and Annesha Brooks, also 23 great-grandchildren and other numerous relatives and friends.

“Gina” as everyone knew her was A retired Catron County Judge. She was ahead of her time. She was an entrepreneur and owned and managed several restaurants. She was also the head regional manager for Circle K.

Gina loved to crochet beautiful blankets. She made a number of them for several of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite part of the day was her morning coffee and lemon cookies and she would sneak bites to her beloved Peppa. She loved to receive her morning kisses and watched her great grandchildren go off to school. Over the last few years she was over joyed by each of them and the love they had for her.

Gina will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.
