Gilda Fiorentino LaVista, born March 1, 1933, in Herkimer, NY. She went home to Our Lord on February 23, 2013. She was 79. Gilda left New York and settled in Rockledge in 1957. Gilda was the 10th child of 11 born to Dominick & Lucia Fiorentino, who preceded her in death, along with 6 of her siblings. (Mary, Nicolette, Shirley Ann, Yolanda, Louis, & Salvatore)
Gilda was a devoted Mom (and Grandmother) to her four (4) children, Deborah Ryan of Rockledge and her two (2) children, Paul & Melinda Keesee; Anthony LaVista (Tony) and wife, Cindy of Houston, TX, and their two (2) children, Dominque LaVista & Danielle and her husband, Endra Sookoor; Diana (Dee) Hermes and husband, Bob of Rockledge, and their four (4) children, Brittany and her husband, Kevin Rhyne, and Kelly, Nicolette and David; She is preceded in death by her youngest son, David, and is survived by his only daughter, Veronica Rose. The grandchildren all referred to her as Nani and she was very proud of them.
Gilda is survived by all four(4) of her older siblings, Kelly Fiorentino (FL), Adeline LaGess (FL) Michael Fiorentino (NY) and Lena Sudakow (NY). She had many, many nieces, nephews and countless friends and cousins in Italy and Argentina .
