Gil Tr ejo Trejo 52, passed away Friday night at his residence surrounded by his family after a long fight with end stage liver disease. He was the oldest son of 12 siblings of late Father Jose Trejo Hurtado and is survived by his mother Marcela Trejo Rojo, husband of Ma-Elena Resendiz Juarez as well as father to Juan Jose Trejo-Resendiz, Maria Angeles Trejo-Resendiz, Gil-Omar Trejo-Resendiz and Diego Trejo-Resendiz. Gil was an amazing hard-working father, loving husband, supportive son and brother, and a caring friend. He, the best father who did anything and everything possible for his kids to make them happy as it kept him happy too. He enjoyed telling stories of his childhood, jobs he worked on, telling jokes, and also how far he had ame in life to show us anything in life is possible when you work hard for it. Our father was a proud man who always told us to pursue a career by completing our schooling in order to be someone and not have to endure the struggles he had at a young age but with all of his teaching and guidance helped mold us into the young men and woman we are today and as he always said to not look back, keep going forward. He worked for Barnhill Construction Company for 25 years from carpenter to a general manager building schools and buildings all around eastern NC. On their last project with Gil was the rehabilitation of the Dix Chapel in Raleigh, NC which has an artwork inside that represents the team that worked on it including him in the artwork.
Gil Trejo Trejo 52, falleció el viernes por la noche en su residencia rodeado de su familia luego de una larga pelea con una enfermedad hepática en etapa terminal. Era el hijo mayor de 12 hermanos y hermanas del difunto padre José Trejo Hurtado y le sobreviven su madre Marcela Trejo Rojo, esposo de Ma-Elena Resendiz Juarez y padre de Juan José Trejo-Resendiz, María Ángeles Trejo-Resendiz, Gil- Omar Trejo-Resendiz y Diego Trejo-Resendiz. Gil fue el mejor padre que uno podría tener increíblemente trabajador, un esposo cariñoso, un hijo y hermano solidario y un amigo cariñoso. Él, el mejor padre que hizo todo lo posible para que sus hijos los hicieran felices, ya que eso también lo mantuvo feliz a él. Disfrutaba contando historias de su infancia, trabajos en los que trabajó, contar chistes y también lo lejos que había llegado en la vida para mostrarnos que cualquier cosa en la vida es posible cuando trabajas duro por ello. Nuestro padre era un hombre orgulloso que siempre nos dijo que siguiéramos una carrera completando nuestra educación para ser alguien y no tener que soportar las luchas que tuvo a una edad temprana, pero con toda su enseñanza y orientación nos ayudó a convertirnos en los jóvenes que somos hoy y todo para adelante como siempre dijo que no mires atrás. Trabajó para Barnhill Construction Company durante 25 años desde carpintero hasta gerente general en la construcción de escuelas y edificios en todo el este de Carolina del Norte. En su último proyecto con Gil fue la rehabilitación de la Capilla Dix en Raleigh, Carolina del Norte, que tiene una obra de arte en su interior que representa al equipo que trabajó en ella, incluyéndolo a él en la obra de arte.
Se llevará a cabo un servicio conmemorativo el domingo 30 de mayo a las 7 pm en la capilla de la funeraria Shumate-Faulk. El entierro será en Uxdejhe, Hidalgo, México.
