On January 4th, 2020 Ghangi Bhola.

Ghangi (Dhanmattie) Seenanan was born June 18, 1929 to Kowsilla and Sudu Seenanan. She was the youngest and last surviving child of 8. She is preceded in death by her husband Jacob in 2012 and three brothers: Ramkissoon (Manny), Seecharan (Rohit), and Rajaram (Reuben), and her 4 sisters: Basdaya (Big Moosie), Dhookni (Sonnon), DanKumari (Finey), and Rampatie (Sholo).

On March 11, 1947 she married Jacob Bhola and they were blessed with 12 children Cecelia, Kenneth, Modas, Barbara, Dora, Galley, Puncha, Radhica, Mohini, Devika, Shanta & Narupa. She is survived by 11 children, her eldest daughter, Cecelia (Sis), passed away in early 2013 in Guyana.

Her children are left behind with her 8 son-in-laws, 1 daughter-in law, 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews all around the country.

In 1981 she came to the United States along with Jacob and five of their children to join the four that were already here. They settled in Baltimore where they were later joined with the remaining children. In her life she overcame many challenges, even with her limited education she became a citizen of the US in 1998.

Our memories include days In Guyana when she was raising her children and many of her grandchildren and sometimes nieces and nephews. She was a loving mom, growing gardens and teaching her kids to raise animals for their livelihood. There was always food for everyone to eat in her kitchen, and for anyone who is just dropping by to say hello. She was a hard worker and a great caretaker to her large family.

Her time in the US was spent taking care of her family, watching her children grow and marry off one by one, for them to return with grandchildren that she she brought up so beautifully. She enjoyed watching Soap Operas, favorites like like Young & the Restless and Bold & the Beautiful. She was open to talk and give advice on anything you needed to talk about.

Her memories will live on in our hearts and we will cherish her forever. In our hearts and in our minds she was the perfect mother, grandmother and friend.

She joined our grandfather and countless other family at 1:15am on Saturday Jan 4, 2020 at her home, the age of 90.
