Geza W. Zsilavetz, 85 of Bethlehem died Monday, June 24, 2013 in his home.
Geza served in the US Navy for 6 years at the end of World War II in Europe and the Mediterranean Fleet, aboard the USS Salem.
He retired from Bethlehem Steel where he was a precision machinist.
Geza was a member of St. Joseph’s Windish Catholic Church and the First Windish Fraternal Benefit Society, where he was on the Board of Directors for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of many years, Marie, his sister Terry Silver, and brothers Pete and Bill Zsilavecz.
He is survived by his grandson Keith Stocker, his partner Becky Heckman, and his great-granddaughter Heidi Stocker.
Other family members who will miss him dearly are his niece Teddi Silver of Landenberg, PA, Debbi Geist and her husband Bobby, Steve Zsilavecz and his wife Lisa, Mike Zsilavecz, Barry Zsilavecz,
and Stephanie Warminsky and her husband Vic, all of Bethlehem, PA. In addition he is survived by 5 great-nieces and 3 great-nephews.
The family would like to thank the Visiting Nurses of St. Luke’s, especially Susan Feher, whose visits and assistance for the past 2 years made his life easier while combating skin cancer.
