Gertrude was born to the late Emmanuel and Katherine E. (DiStiso) Centrella.
She is survived by two sons, Samuel J. Gizzie of Las Vegas, Marc P. Gizzie of Winsted, two daughters Elizabeth Guidone of Wallingford, Katherine Fuechsel of New Britain, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
