Gertrude L. Oberlander, age 92 years, of Norwell, formerly of Plymouth, died Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Southwood at Norwell. She was the wife of the late John Thomas Oberlander, and the daughter of the late Francis and Gertrude (Williams) Woods. Born in Boston on April 15, 1929, she was a graduate of Medford High School and was also a resident of Somerville and South Boston in her younger years. She enjoyed socializing and dining out and a favorite pastime for Gertrude was Bowling. She was a member of the American Legion Post #40 Ladies Auxiliary, where she and her husband were very is survived by her son John “Jack” Oberlander and his wife Lorna of New Jersey, and her daughter Jane Nicotera and her husband Joseph of Marshfield, her grandchildren Christopher and Tim Nicotera, Alex, Liam and Trevor Oberlander and her great grand son Caleb Nicotera. She was the sister of the late Ruth Corbett.
