Gertrude L. (Wilcox) Schleicher was called on to the Lord on December 21, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Donald Schleicher, with whom she shared almost 65 years of a loving marriage.
Gertrude was born July 21, 1935 in West Nanticoke, PA, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn (Cox) Wilcox of Canada, Galen Wilcox and Helen (Kramm) Wilcox. Gertrude was a loving and caring home maker always putting her family first. Throughout the years she cared for many friends by attending to their homes as they requested. She was an active member of St. Stephen’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She participated in many groups of the church including being the Vacation Bible School Director for 20 years.
Survivors: Gertrude will be lovingly missed by her husband Donald; children, Alice Schleicher, Jessie Schleicher and Galen Schleicher. She was predeceased by sister, Mary Black.
