Gertrude Faria, a homemaker and 48 year resident of Stoughton passed away on Friday September 18, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was 86 years old and the beloved wife of the late Jose’ De Faria. She is survived by her children, Isilda Freitas Of Taunton, Benilde Faria of Taunton, Jose’ Faria and his wife Cidalia of Taunton, Frank Faria and his wife Irene of Stoughton, Leonel Faria and his wife Filomena of Taunton and Antonio Faria also of Stoughton. She was also a mother to the late Luzia Martins Faria. Other survivors include her 5 sisters, Maria Nunes of Toronto, Canada, Ludovina Martins of Terceira, Azores, Ines Martins of Terceira, Azores, Olivia Ormondo of California, Mavilia Nunes of Stoughton, her 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Born December 11, 1928 in Quartro Ribeiras Terceira, Azores, Portugal, Gertrude was a daughter to the late Jose’ Martins Godinho and Ilda de Jesus.
